My first photography exhibition in Yerevan
Photography Life
This year, with the loving idea, support and organization of my beloved wife, I have brought out a few photographs from the drawer and convinced myself to exhibit some of them.
The photos I recovered are a selection of those I took during my years in Armenia, and they represent a small part of what I chose to record out of personal taste. This exhibition is certainly a strong incentive for me to continue, and perhaps it might also allow me more movement.
The intention behind the exhibition, or my collection, is not to document a history—perhaps only minimally so, as I myself am prone to questioning the truthfulness of the photographic medium. However, I certainly love gathering the transition, what presents itself before me, in a continuous state of meditation and observation that today, given the speed at which we live, I can only define through the swiftness of photography. This is therefore, for me, the continuation of my consciousness; it represents my questions, the mystery of living, my nostalgic lifestyle and a timeless taste for geometry. Furthermore, it is a way to thank this country that hosts me and has allowed me to find many good things for which I am grateful.
If you have no plans for Saturday, July 4th, you are welcome to join the opening of the exhibition, which will take place starting at 7:00 PM at Zangak bookstore, which has generously provided its room to host the event, and to whom we remain grateful. The photos will remain on display from July 1st to July 17th.
