To me, it is above all a refuge from vulgarity. And what is vulgarity? The celebration of individuality, of the ego, and of personality in any form.
Celebrating this is overtly crude and restrictive. It is a manifestation of ugliness.
For me, beauty lies solely in what aspires to the eternal and limitless.
