I decided to dedicate this post to simplicity because I discovered with joy, many years ago, that simplicity is truly the key to peace. I no longer love surrounding myself with complexity—be it thoughts, objects, behaviors, or possessions. Complexity carries a responsibility toward oneself; every complexity must be sustained in all its aspects.

The complexity of an idea must be constantly refined, the complexity of an object must be constantly maintained, and the complexity of a reasoning is a sign of confusion and psychic contortionism. A simple thing requires less attention. Simplicity is freedom; it is lightening the load.

For this reason, I try to always carry simplicity with me everywhere: at work, in relationships, in the things I buy, in the things I build, and in the thoughts I generate.
